I had about 8 hours between my flights in my transit at Tokyo Airport. Since Tokyo was about 1,5 hours away (!), I decided to have a little break at Narita, a town 15 minutes from the airport. There was not much to see tourist-wise, apart from some somewhat old temples, but the scenery of contemporary Japan was exciting enough from me as a photographer. It turned out to be about 28 degrees, extremely humid (so much so it could rain without clouds above my head!) and I was carrying about 10 kilograms of handluggage... My photo tour became an army drill that got me all sweating back to the airport, where a afforable shower was very welcome, but the prospect of my still-sweaty clothes (i didn't have any extra clothes in my handluggage) were not so much.
Voila, suburbian japan:
leaving the train station
they like pink...
...and they like vending machines...
this is where I got my hair cut! (and "beard" shaven and throat almost cut)
...and I ate all this sushi! (apart from the freaky octopus thingy)
